Ludchitska Height

The memorial dedicated to military glory, "Ludchitska Height" was built to perpetuate the feat of the soldiers who defended Belarus from February to June 1944. Soviet soldiers occupied this height as part of the offensive operation "Bagration".

The Red Army held it for 20 hours, heroically fighting off the German troops. Most of the Red Army defenders perished. You can see the memorial complex between the settlements of Taimonovo and Ludchitsy.
